Lake Cushman is a private lake that you have access to as well as Lake Kokanee which is a great for paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. Camp Maple

Fantastic Private and Quiet Getaway

We had a great time at this amazing spot. We had the whole place to ourselves, very quiet and private. Full hookups and several different places to camp, although we chose the spot in the driveway next to the hookups for our RV. There is also a flush toilet onsite, which was awesome. Really nice firepit, chairs, and a picnic table. Big open field to play volleyball/badminton/soccer. We will definitely be back as this property is right near Hoodsport, Lake Cushman, Hood Canal, and Olympic National Forest. It would be a wonderful base camp for adventures around the area. We stayed put for most of it and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Our dogs got to run around free and loved it. My only caution would be if you have a super big RV or fifth wheel. Our RV is 29 ft including tongue and it was a bit tough making the turn from the road through the gate and up into the driveway, which feels quite steep when towing a bigger rig. We made it up though. We also used our leveling blocks once at the site as the one we stayed on was not completely level, so make sure to bring those. This was not a big deal at all though. Byron was very responsive and had everything set up for us, even Starlink! I would highly recommend this spot! We have camped at many Hipcamp places and this property truly is a gem.

Camp Maple

Lovely stay at Camp Maple!

Camp Maple was awesome. I loved how it felt so private, yet out in the open because of the beautiful meadow and big open clear sky Byron has on his property. Your own slice of heaven. Would highly recommend. Well kept lawn was really nice for my dogs to play on, and the flush toilet in the outhouse was a very nice luxury to have as opposed to all the vault toilets at most of the campsites around.

Camp Maple

Amazing time!

Loved staying at Byron’s land. The pups and I really enjoyed ourselves. Feel secluded, but not far from the lake or Hoodsport. Very well maintained and the stars at night were so bright! Will definitely return.

Slice of Heaven!

Camp Maple is a beautiful property with so much potential in it! Spacious spots for RV and tent camping alike, it checks all the boxes while also pulling off the “secluded in nature” Vibe. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area, as it is well worth the price.
